Yahoo’s mission is to provide clients improved market performance through technology, services, insights and best practices that fully leverage the Exchange platform and supply ecosystem. About the Speaker

Dan Boberg is Vice President, Advertiser and Agency Professional Services for Yahoo! He joined the company in April 1999 and is responsible for driving Consulting , Tech integration and Custom Solutions for leading advertiser and agency partners. Dan brings a solid history from the Search industry to his current role where he works with both Search and Display ad products. Named as one of B2B Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2004, Boberg has worked to drive Yahoo! industry leadership in key areas for many years.

More recently, Boberg was instrumental in launching Yahoo!’s Enterprise Web Services (EWS), a commercial developer program that enables programmatic campaign management via APIs to Yahoo! ad products including Panama and the Right Media Exchange. Prior, he pioneered the company’s Ambassador Program (now referred to as the Yahoo! Alliances Program), which helps search engine marketing companies streamline their work with Yahoo! to drive targeted sales leads to clients.

Prior to Yahoo!, Boberg was a member of Microsoft’s product planning team responsible for developing the personal financial management software product Microsoft Money and was also Director of Business Development for PhotoSort, a supplier of conference and trade show networking tools.

Boberg holds an M.B.A with emphasis in Marketing and Technology from the University of Southern California.

Phoenix PRSA Announces Workshop on Incorporating Social Media and Online PR into Traditional PR Strategy

The Phoenix chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced today an upcoming workshop on the impact of social media on public relations strategy. Social media is playing an ever increasing role in the public relations field and the workshop is designed to help PR professionals to incorporate social media into their lives. The event will be held on August 7th at Pearson Education in Chandler, Arizona.”In the past year, the Phoenix PRSA chapter has committed to providing extensive professional development regarding the social media realm,” said Charlotte Risch principal ofThe Media Push and PRSA member. “Now, we’re taking social media learning to the next level with a special two and a half hour workshop designed to take your understanding and your application of social media beyond the basics.”

Social media encompasses blogs, forums, social news sites, social networks, and social content sites featuring written content, video, photos and audio etc. Within these sites information is openly presented and discussed, opinions are given, and shared meaning is built. This offers public relations professionals exciting new ways to communicate their messages.

Kelly Thomas and Jorie Waterman from Microsoft’s adCenter will speak about the tools and technology being developed by Microsoft to help search engine marketers during all stages of their advertising campaigns.
